On Friday 13 October 1307, King Philip IV of France's officials arrested the Knights Templar throughout his kingdom. They were charged with 127 separate offences including denying Christ, sodomy, and many sacrilegious acts. The trails were to last seven years, the heart of which were the month of Mayb and April in 1310. The Master of the order was burned at the stake in 1314.
