It is well known that the Prince was previously engaged to Esmeralda Undergrove, a young noble who had seemed to be a perfect match. Queen Elópê has been running the kingdom since the death of her beloved husband. Taking the matter of the prince’s heart into her own hands, she is throwing him a ball to force him to get back out there and meet someone who is more politically advantageous to the kingdom. At her right hand is her psychic, Zezolla, with whom she consults on all major decisions in her life. The Prince is heartbroken but trying to get over it to please his mother. And of course, Esmeralda unexpectedly arrives at the ball – a scandal of the ages!
