In the Bellissimos I want the participants to experience a rich saga with a bunch of odd characters, played in all their grand marvellousness. I want you to feel that spending the life in this closed, peculiar and raw culture is the best option for your character, and that the alternative: a life outside, is so much worse.

I want to see powerful relationships, absurd sibling love, peer pressure, helplessness and lost control, but also languishing love and the safety of a strong collective that in every situation, for good and bad, have each other’s backs against the influence of the outside world.

The game will most likely contain oppression regarding looks, appearance and disabilities, bullying, paedophilia, sexual abuse, racism, incest and physical and mental violence. These ethics and morals belong to the characters, not the players.

Think right, play wrong.
I want us to be able to play with topics that are sensitive, difficult and placed under taboo, since this raises the level of consciousness for us. Escalate the misery, do not block it out. This larp is not a masquerade or a Halloween party. Think dull blackness and “less is more” regarding costume and make up. Love or hate your freak, but do not ridicule it.
